Agreed Leonie. A person’s current/past salary should not be used to determine a candidate’s worth. Salaries should be based on good job grading systems and practices.

I do agree it is good practice to have the salary in the job advertisement, I have seen this being done uniformly in many other countries. Hopefully this practice becomes more widespread in South Africa. Do you think there is a case for asking our courts to make a ruling on this?
